Class Description
How do we pray when we already know we are spiritual beings and one with God? If prayer is not seeking favor from a supreme being, what is it? And how do we put it into words? In this class we dive into the fundamentals of affirmative prayer from a consciousness of oneness. With study questions and worksheets built in, this class is the perfect learning tool for anyone interested in deepening their prayer practice. It’s also for those who are called to pray with others.
- Identify spiritual issues at the heart of prayer requests, the remedy for which can be claimed as spiritual capacities.
- Broaden your definition of GOD to include powers/principles that can be claimed and embodied.
- Practice speaking from spiritual authority, reminding others of their divine identity that can be realized and expressed.
This class uses the book Discover Your Divinity: a Modern Guide to Affirmative Prayer which attendees are strongly encouraged to read since class experiences, discussions and practices are based on it.
This course is designed to meet the educational needs for Unity S.E.E. students, however, the class and experiences are designed for everyone and anyone interested in prayer.
