Course Description

This course offers a spiritually grounded and academically informed introduction to Christian Scripture. With the Unity perspective as our foundation, we explore the Bible not only as a sacred text but also as a collection of diverse writings shaped by history, politics, culture, and evolving human understanding of the Divine.

We will blend Unity’s metaphysical interpretation with cutting-edge biblical scholarship from voices such as Amy-Jill Levine and Bart Ehrman. Students will develop greater discernment in understanding scripture’s original contexts while deepening their own spiritual insight.

This course is designed to meet the educational needs for Unity S.E.E. students, however, the class and experiences are designed for everyone and anyone interested in Christian Scriptures.
