Recovering the Lost Gospel of Myrtle Fillmore

Unity has two distinct theologies. They are not interchangeable.

Most students of Unity know the theology of Charles Fillmore. Far fewer know that Myrtle had a theology of her own.

For generations, Myrtle has been remembered primarily as Unity’s healer, her writings reduced to devotional readings, while Charles became Unity’s theologian.

But what if we’ve been reading only half the story?
A careful reading of Myrtle’s letters, articles, and spiritual practice reveals something astonishing: Myrtle was articulating her own theology along side Charles.

Charles provides the historical and theological context.

**This course is about recovering the lost gospel of Myrtle Fillmore.**

Together we’ll explore Myrtle’s understanding of the Twelve Powers through history, theology, experiential practice, and contemporary life, discovering why her voice may be one of the most important—and least explored—in the Unity movement.

**What becomes possible when Myrtle’s voice is finally speaks for herself?**

Join me for five Tuesdays in September as we rediscover one of Unity’s founders—not as history remembers her, but as her own words reveal her.

Each session includes experiential practices, reflection, discussion, and practical ways to embody the teachings in everyday life.

Pilgrims with Purpose™ is a global program of sacred service I developed to inspire and empower people to be active in the world in unique and sustainable ways. Every trip includes time spent touring the country, spiritual connection among our group, and compassionate action – engaging volunteers in working alongside local people in a capacity that truly serves those in the community. Together we learn to engage the stranger, to labor with, laugh with and learn about each other in order to honor the interconnectedness of all life.
