We will attempt to discover:\n\nWhat the Christ idea is\nWhere the Christ idea came from\nWhat it meant to the people of Jesus’ time\nHow the Christ idea evolved during the period the books of the Christian scripture were written\n\nYou may come to this class with well-developed ideas about both Jesus and the Christ. I encourage you to be willing to re-examine those ideas in the light of what you discover as you engage the texts we will study in class.\nAfter completing this course, students will be able to:\n\nDefine “Christ” and explain how the Christ idea came to be\nExplain the differences and similarities between the Christ idea and Jesus Christ\nCite biblical evidence supporting the Christhood of all people and analyze that evidence for its validity\nUse the example of Jesus Christ as a means of putting on the Christ and beholding the Christ in others\n(Maybe) Examine and describe in a written essay the evolution of his/her understanding of the Christ\nUnderstand the difference between “Christ” and “Christ Consciousness”\nApply the Christ in their own life experiences\n\nThis course is designed to meet the educational needs for Unity S.E.E. students, however, the class and experiences are designed for everyone and anyone interested in Living Into Divine Consciousness (The Christ) idea.\nRegister Today\n\n\n
